A major UK hospital needed to solve a wayfinding problem across multiple wards and corridors without compromising on the strict hygiene and fire-safety standards a clinical environment demands. The graphics had to be durable, easy to clean, anti-microbial, and fully certified — and the visuals had to feel calming rather than clinical.
We specified and produced fully-certified, anti-microbial printed wallpapers and complementary directional cut vinyl graphics — over 100 metres in total — designed to aid patient flow through the building. Every material met the rigorous fire-safety standards required for hospital interiors, and surfaces were finished so they could be cleaned and disinfected to clinical protocol without lifting or fading.
